Method
How to use this tool
- 01
Enter sheet and imposed-piece dimensions, including any bleed in the piece size.
- 02
Reserve gripper, opposite-edge, and side margins plus inter-piece gutter.
- 03
Enter required finished quantity and sides printed to estimate sheets and impressions.
Assumptions
What the math assumes
- A uniform rectangular grid is used.
- Each sheet yields the reported number of finished pieces.
- Two-sided work requires two impressions per sheet; this is not a folding signature imposition.
Production limits
Verify before output
- Does not position color bars, registration targets, plate furniture, or mixed forms.
- Add makeready, bindery spoilage, and overruns separately.

Frequently asked questions
Should piece size include bleed?
Yes. Enter the imposed artwork size, normally trim plus bleed, so neighboring artwork has adequate separation.
Are spoilage sheets included?
No. The result is the theoretical minimum. Add the waste allowance appropriate to the press and finishing route.
