Assumptions
What the math assumes
- The PDF uses points at exactly 72 points per inch.
- Crop marks are 0.25 pt rich black vector strokes.
- The page includes enough outside slug area to contain marks and a small note.
Production limits
Verify before output
- This is a blank production template, not a repair tool for existing PDFs.
- Some production workflows add marks at RIP time; confirm whether supplied marks are wanted.
- Always inspect the downloaded PDF’s page boxes and dimensions before production.
Desk reference
Frequently asked questions
Does the PDF contain my artwork?
No. It is a blank vector template showing page geometry and crop marks.
Why are marks outside the bleed?
Marks inside the bleed can remain visible after trim variation. The offset keeps them clear of artwork intended to extend past trim.
